Lecture/slide show which includes an overall discussion
of Marilyn’s method of making realistic portraits and art quilts. Slides
include a step-by-step presentation of one of the artist’s quilts. A trunk
show of selected quilts accompanies the talk.

quilts. Time will be allotted at the end of lecture for questions and some
individual photograph consultation.
SOFT FLEXIBLE
WALLHANGINGS AND FUSIBLE WEBS(one hour)
Lecture/slide show which
explains Marilyn Belford’s method of applying pieces of fabric to her
designs using fusible webs and avoiding the stiffness that can occur. She shows
how best to plan the sequence of fabric application and plan for future
threadpainting. A trunk show of selected quilts is included
